3 Essential Steps to Prepare This Month

  1. Multiple Ways to Get Alerts: Don’t rely on sirens alone. Ensure you have a NOAA Weather Radio and that your smartphone is set to receive Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA).

  2. Identify Your Safe Place: Whether at home, work, or school, know exactly where to go during a tornado warning. This should be an interior room on the lowest floor, away from windows.

  3. Build an Emergency Kit: Keep a kit ready with at least three days of supplies, including water, non-perishable food, a flashlight, extra batteries, and any necessary medications.

Stay weather-aware this spring and take the time this month to ensure your household is ready for whatever the season brings.
